When you do any type excursion, does the batteries deplete quicker than if you walk or do any type of movement ?. Basically what can't you do ?. Thanks for your time. Peace be with you.

The batteries from any of the devices should not prevent you from doing any activity that has been cleared by your VAD team.  Other recipients have reported fishing, skiing, hiking, biking, running, walking, and many other activities.  The important part of doing the activity is making sure that your driveline is secured and the batteries are also secured and not pulling on your controller.  Good luck!

No the batteries don't deplete faster depending on the activity you are doing. The controller uses a fixed rate and would only draw voltage if the pump itself had an issue, or you are having an associated heart issue. Now as to what you can and can't do. Well, the can'ts first. Swimming, Surfing, Boogie Boarding, Water Skiing, Kayaking, Rodeo Clown, Contact Sports, Hot Tub Time machines, Weight lifting can be ok but not upper body lifts, things that typically put you in the water. Now as to what you can do? -ANYTHING- you want, play Golf, hike, ride bikes, motor cycles, horses, cook, clean, iron, polish silverware, paint your nails, (if you are so inclined), running, (yuk), dancing, what ever you want to do, you still can do. Just make sure that what ever you do that your batteries and controller are strapped in and you'll be ready to go.
