where to get the heartmate II modular belt?

Hi,

I am trying to find where to get the modular belt. And having hard time finding one. My doctors office only had the old style ones and it didn't work. I am thinking if i can find one my insurance would most likely pay for it. I have been wearing the holsters and halter bag, but problem is, i am getting alot of chest pain as the things we need to carry 24/7 is just too heavy for me and i am not a small gal. Am thinking if i wore a belt to secure everything would take the chest pain away and heal much faster. (been implanted 2 months now) Any info would be appreciated.. Thanks ;)

Hi, I emailed them and they told me that the hospital has to give to me. We'll the modular belt is for the older model Heartmate II .... I have the newer one that just came out last year and they don't have a belt for it. If you or anyone reading this know anyone who can make a belt for the newer HeartMate II i would appreciate hearing from everyone!! Thanks :)

How about using a fanny pack that you can buy at a fair or sporting good store. Hospitals don't seem to be equipped with many things. The company and the hospitals keep bouncing it to each other's court, but do not offer any suggestions. We seem to have to come up with our own inventions. Which to me doesn't seem right.

Hello Brenda, I have also been looking for a place to buy the modular belt with no success. I have the newer Heartmate II as well and have tried several different ways to make the gear more comfortable. What I came up with was actually pretty simple. I got a heavy duty leather work belt (1 3/4" wide) and the battery holsters and system controller fit on the belt and is fairly comfortable to wear all day. Hope this helps you.
