Flyfishing with an LVAD

Is there anyone out there in LVAD land who has had to give up flyfishing because of fear of getting your batteries wet. I' was an avid flyfisher for 50 years, but since my LVAD implant I've had to abandon my passion. HAs anyone found a solution to this problem?
