Traveling with LVAD
Wed, 08/21/2013 - 3:56PMI have had an LVAD for over two years, and my wife and I travel as much as we can. We use a roll carry-on for the power module and another bag for the battery charger. These machines go on the plane with us - never underneath with the luggage as damage can occur. We have been doing it so much since June of 2011, it has become second nature. That does not mean it is not a pain sometimes, but we have had super luck going through Security. We go on cruises, to Europe and wherever we can whenever we have some money. Thank God for the LVAD, and thank goodness we can travel.

able to find the right bag.
