Welcome to MyLVAD!

For many years, physicians, engineers and scientists have worked tirelessly to develop solutions for advanced congestive heart failure. We have achieved a breakthrough in technology that we hope will change thousands of lives -- left sided artificial hearts known as left ventricular assist devices, or LVADs. Since the initiation of the use of this technology, the LVAD team at The Hospital Center has believed in the need for an Internet based community for LVAD recipients, their families and friends -- to reach out, network and better understand their new lives through their connections with others. It is our hope that meets these needs.

The site is a resource for LVAD patients and for their loved ones. For recipients, it will provide information through social connectivity, written content, and webinars which we hope will help to maximize your quality of life. For caregivers and loved ones, it is our hope that this site will provide you with the resources and support necessary to help you adjust, not only to your loved ones needs, but to yours as well.

We welcome you to the site as family. Your valuable feedback is vital to improve upon our efforts. You and your loved ones are the heroes, and we take our hats off to you.

Live long, live well and enjoy!
