pump noise

Hello I am a new lvad recipient, I had my surgery on september 19 . Everything seems to be going well except for the fact that i can hear the pump running . It is very annoying and I was wondering if anyone else has this issue?

Most can’t hear it at all but there are always a few like you and I that hear it all. It got so annoying that we bought a sound machine for in the bedroom so I could sleep at night.

I'm one of those who can actually hear my pump running. Especially at night, in the bathroom or any place where it's quite. I've come to enjoy hearing it, realizing the other alternative is to not have one at all. Happy with my Heartmate 3
