Remote Monitoring of your LVADSun, 02/09/2020 - 12:57PM
I am familiar with VADs because I am a cardiovascular perfusionist - the person who operates the heart lung machine. At the hospital I work at were are very involved in VAD implant surgery, but also are responsible for taking care of VAD patients when they come to the operating room for any type of surgery-cardiac or not.
I am currently in graduate school for Biomedical and Health Informatics. This semester I am working on a project that involves remote monitoring of VAD patients through technology (such as an app, perhaps incorporating a smart watch and scale). I was wondering if any VAD patients would be willing to be interviewed for my project. I am required to interview examples of the various users, such as vad patients, caregivers, vad coordinators, etc.
I appreciate your time and willingness to help!
