My mom had an lvad and she passed away. I have a bunch of equipment I would rather donate than just getting rid of. I would love to hear any ideas. I can send pictures if needed. Email me. Klwatk2@gmail.com

Hi everyone,

I was a caregiver for my father who had a LVAD. He past away in 2020 and I've had all his equipment stored ever since. I want all this to go to someone who needs it. I have 6 Heartware batteries, backup Heartware controller, shower bag, travel bag, messenger style bag and a vest. The Vest and some of the bags are basically new because he didnt like them using them. All of this is totally free but if you can cover the cost of shipping that will be ideal. Please let me know if you need this and I will figure out the shipping details.

In the first posting, I traveled to New Jersey to pick up donated equipment. To this day, I am still so thankful to have received the equipment. It was a trip well made thanks to generous people, I met online. I first got my LVAD in November 2012. I am getting along well. I travel work at my hobby of Woodturner. My wife has been a Saint we use this donated equipment on a regular basis. I thank god for making my road a good journey and hope it continues. I’m too old for a transplant, so I rely this equipment. Thank to all that donate to help others.

Hello Janice I'm so sorry to hear about your husband.  My name is Mark Nicholson I'm from Las Cruces NM today is my release day from the New Mexico heart hospital.  I have just been blessed with a second chance at life and I now have a heartmate III.  This is very new to me so I'm learning but I'm very limited when it comes equipment or supply's and being able to aquire these things I know will not be easy.   I'm not even sure of all I'll need equipment wise but I have the basics but anything would be greatly appreciated as well as any advice. I'm very sorry about your husband but you stay strong and thank you

Hello! My son had a Heartmate II for 5 years. He got his heart 2 1/2 years ago and is doing well. We still have his equipment…batteries, charger, power module with cords, car charger for power module for travel, back up bag with controller and batteries, brand new shower bag, etc. Would rather donate to someone who needs it, than recycle it. My email address is patmay59@icloud.com and I live in Arlington, TX. This equipment is heavy as you know, so you would have to pay for shipping if you can’t pick it up locally.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I also care for my father since receiving his LVAD, and it has been a roller coaster of emotions for both of us.

The battery charger is a source of anxiety for him, and he would like to buy another charger. Is your father's charger still available?

My son had an LVAD for 5 years. He was transplanted in September 2020. We still have his equipment…carry bag with back up controller and batteries, more batteries, charger, wall power module, car charger for power module, cords, never used shower equipment, etc. If you are local, you can come get it. If it needs to be shipped, you would need to pay the shipping costs. We want someone who needs this to have it rather than recycle it. We live in Arlington, TX. Contact me at maymusicstudio1994@gmail.com. Peace!
