Daily weight

My husband will be coming home from the hospital next week, he received his VAD in May, had a rough time both prep &postop.

I've been told he needs to weigh every day. The digital scale warns against using it if you have "any implanted medical devices such as a pacemaker". He has no pacemaker or defibrillator, but can he use it with the LVAD? No response from the cust. Service dept at manufacturer.

What type scale do most of patients use?
