Dialysis before LVAD

Has anyone had to be put on dialysis BEFORE LVAD was implanted?

Yes, Certainly. I came into the hospital with an EF or Ejection Fraction of just under 10%, where the average persons' EF is closer to 55 or 75%.

I had a pulmonary embolism and they had to start the dialysis immediately to help drain my liver and kidneys, which were failing.
