Little Doug's Heart Walk Team
Sat, 09/10/2022 - 1:00PMWe are participating in the 2022 Metro Chicago Heart Walk, with FOUR LVAD patients. Our team captain, Little Doug, is the youngest patient living at home with an LVAD in the United States. Diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and acute heart failure, Little Doug received his LVAD on September 8, 2020, at the age of 6. Today, at 8 years old, he is an inspiration to the entire LVAD community.
His resilience, fun-loving attitude, and exuberance for life earns him the distinction of being our Heart Walk Team's captain! Together, we're doing our part to defeat Heart Disease and Stroke from affecting future Big and Little Dougs!
